The simple form of acne affects around 90% per cent of teenagers, so demand for acne cure is high.

The
greasy skin with blackheads, pus-filled spots, purplish-red lumps and
possibly scarring that characterizes acne is more common in boys and
may run on families. Acne mainly affects the face, chest and back. Acne is caused
by blockage and inflammation of the grease glands in
the skin.
Our
skin contains grease (sebaceous) glands that secrete an oily substance
(sebum) to keep the skin supple and moist. If the exits from these
glands become blocked, sebum bursts into the deeper layers of skin.
Here it is highly irritant and causes inflammation, which can become
infected. The result is pus-filled spots, blemishes and the classical
tender, purplish lumps of acne. When the lumps heal, scars and pitting
may be left behind.
Acne
is
graded in stages of
severity:
With
no sign of a cure on the horizon, it is up to you to deal with the
outbreaks of spots that can damage your looks and your self-esteem long
past adolescence.
