How to treat ringworm externally?

If you have only one or two ring worm patches on your body external ringworm cure will be sufficient to treat them completely. Continue the ringworm treatment for 1 week after the ringworm patch is smooth and seems to be gone in order to avoid reinfection. Successful ringworm cure often takes 3 or 4 weeks.

Many different natural anti-fungal remedies are appropriate ringworm cures. May be the best treatment for ringworm is our good, old garlic (Allium sativum). Garlic has been used since ancient times to combat different infections, due to its antiseptic properties, which makes garlic excellent ringworm remedy.

Use fresh grated or chopped garlic directly onto the ring worm lesion. Place the garlic pieces on the affected area and cover with a clean plastic foil and hold on place with a bandaid. It will burn at the beginning but leave the poultice on for the whole night. Use it for 5-6 nights in a row.

If you do not like garlic poultice you might rub garlic tincture on the ringworm patch. It is easy to prepare home made garlic tincture. Chop 3-4 cloves of fresh garlic, put it into a small glass jar and pour alcohol (obtained from pharmacy) on it, to be entirely covered. Place the jar in a sunny window for 3-5 days. Strain and use the tincture for ring worm patches on your skin.

Caution: If your skin shows allergic reaction to garlic do not use it.

ringworm cureIf you do not fancy the smell of garlic and have access to a walnut tree (Juglans regia) in the summer, you might be able to cure ringworm with green walnut hull juice. Unripe walnut is surrounded by a thick green rind, which is poisonous to eat, so use it only on your skin ringworm. Crush the rind into a pulp and apply it to the ring worm. Cover with a plastic foil and leave it on overnight for several nights. You will get rid of ringworm quickly.

Walnut tincture or liquid extract obtained from Health Food Store can be also potent for ringworm, but most people find fresh green walnut hull to be more effective ringworm cure. Just rub some black walnut tincture onto the ring worm lesion several times a day.

If you are living in an area where fig trees (Ficus carica) are common, you may choose the ringworm cure with fig tree sap. Break a leaf from the fig tree and rub the fresh white milky sap from the leaf onto ring worm lesion. Repeat several times a day for a week or until you get rid of ringworm.

Caution: The sap can burn and blister sensitive skin so be careful.

 

Cure for ringworm with acids like vinegar or lemon

Healthy skin has quite strong acidic pH (pH 4-5) which makes the skin resistant to infections as fungal growth. Vinegar helps to restore the healthy acidity of the skin and makes a hostile environment for the fungi. May be apple cider vinegar is the best choice for ringworm treatment, but any other white vinegar will do the trick. You can use vinegar undiluted as a compress on the affected area. Soak a cotton ball or makeup pad in apple cider vinegar and place it on the ringworm infection and fix it with a bandaid for 30 minutes twice a day for one week. You will feel burning or tingling at the beginning but do not bother it.

Also possible ringworm cure is just to rub some undiluted vinegar on the ring worm patch several times a day.

If you hate the smell of vinegar use fresh lemon or lime juice just the same way as vinegar. Acidic juice of lemons are also fine ringworm treatments.

 

Anti-fungal ginger paste treating ringworm

The base of this powerful ringworm cure paste is ginger (Zingiber officinale) powder and golden seal (Hydrastis canadensis) tincture. Mix

UV light kills fungi for sure. Let your body parts affected by ringworm fungi sun bathe in the morning sun and air with fresh air. It is important not to sweat during sunbathing and airing. You should keep the infected area always dry. It is especially powerful if you combine sunbathing with seawater bathing. Salty sea or ocean water is a very effective ring worm cure.

If natural sunshine is not available tanning saloon will also do. However, be careful to disinfect the tanning bed properly in order to avoid catching ringworm fungi there.

Caution: Garlic is a natural blood thinner, might cause bleedings in sensitive persons. Do not take garlic, if you take blood thinner medicines.

Cure for ringworm with Grapefruit Seed Extract

Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) has strong antimicrobal properties as anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal activity. It has been often used in the external and internal treatment of different fungal infections. Therefore grapefruit seed extract is a powerful ringworm cure both orally and topically.

Capsules (125mg). Take 1 capsule twice a day for the first three days, then 1 capsule three times a day for the next seven days and finally 2 capsules twice a day for the next 10 days, until ringworm infection is gone.

Liquid Seed Extract, concentrate. Take 4-12 drops in a cup of water or fruit juice for two or three weeks, as effective ringworm treatment.

 

How to treat ringworm with food?

Starve the ringworm fungi, avoiding sugars, alcohol, refined foods, junk and preserved food, which feed the ringworms.

Eat plenty of garlic, at least two whole cloves a day. Eat a good portion of live, plain (no sugar) yoghurt daily, to maintain the balance of beneficial probiotic bacteria in the gut. All the B vitamins are important too, eat wholemeal bread, brown rice, sunflower seeds, lentils. Get extra zinc from eggs, sardines, pumpkin seeds.
Vitamin B komplex, zinc and selen dietary supplements are also useful ringworm cures.

Continue the ringworm treatment for 1 week after the ringworm patch is smooth and seems to be gone. Successful treatment for ringworm often takes 3 or 4 weeks.
